Who's measuring?

New reading

Enter the values shown on the HBF-375 display after you step on (leave blank if it didn't show one).

Optional. Omron derives this from weight, body fat % and resting metabolism — it's a summary of those, not a separate measurement.

Segmental breakdown (the HBF-375 shows these per body part, not just overall).

Reference ranges used

BMI (WHO): <18.5 Underweight · 18.5–24.9 Normal · 25–29.9 Overweight · ≥30 Obese

Body fat % (Omron, based on Lohman 1986 / Nagamine 1972) —
Male: <10 Low · 10–19.9 Normal · 20–24.9 High · ≥25 Very High
Female: <20 Low · 20–29.9 Normal · 30–34.9 High · ≥35 Very High

Visceral fat level: 0.5–9.5 Normal · 10–14.5 High · 15–30 Very High

Body age isn't a separate measurement — Omron derives it from weight, body fat % and resting metabolism, benchmarked against their population averages for each actual age. It's a motivational summary of numbers you've already entered, so this app logs and charts it but doesn't add commentary on it.

Skeletal muscle % and subcutaneous fat % have no published healthy bands — the device only ranks them against a same-age, same-BMI peer group. Read them as trends.

Visceral fat level, body age and same-age comparison are only meaningful for ages 18–80 on the HBF-375. Under 18, the monitor shows body fat/muscle results but not those three. Under 10, it shows only weight and BMI.
